Giving Back: Northern Michigan Veteran’s New Roof

Jun 8, 2022 | Roofing

Kathy McCarthy, a Northern Michigan Navy veteran, found herself in need of a new roof. Her roof had last been repaired 30 years ago when Kathy and her late husband worked on it together. Kathy’s husband was also a U.S. veteran and had passed away this past spring.

The community rallied together and reached out to Veterans in Crisis to provide her with the roof she deserved.

Through the Owens Corning National Roof Deployment Project our team was given the supplies to rebuild her roof!
This project aims to inspire, activate and match its network of independent Platinum Preferred Contractors with military families around the country to deliver and install free, new roofs.
It was a privilege to give back to such a deserving member of the community and an honor to be chosen to carry out such an incredible project.

Throughout the course of this project we wanted to ensure any future roofing issues would be taken care of so our team provided Kathy with premium coverage and will also be fixing her furnace!
